William Giblini was age 38 at the time of his death.

The eldest of three brothers, Giblini excelled in science and math. At the University of Mississippi he studied electrical engineering. Upon graduation, in 1978, he married his High School sweetheart, Jennifer Morris.

Jennifer and William moved to Santa Rosa, California in 1979. In Santa Rosa, William and his brother Tom began an electronic manufacturing company. Their company, Rosebud, produced automated heating and watering systems for vineyards. Rosebud eventually expanded operations to include component manufacturing for computer displays.

Since 1994, William was engrossed with high definition television technology. He advanced his own universal standard for high definition display and broadcast systems. The brothers, William and Tom, created several working prototypes. Today, Japanese high definition television relies upon technology developed in their laboratory.

William and his wife were active in the community as performers in the local community theatre. He recently performed in the murder thriller, "Wait Until Dark."

William and his wife recently separated. According to Giblin's family, William was on an extended vacation at the time of the murder.
