Mississippi State Crime Lab Jackson, MS 392 Yoknapatawpha County Sheriff's Department Forensic Examination Results Report Examination of the subject vehicle produced blood stains typed consistently with samples from victim Crystal Taylor in this homicide case. No other blood samples were present. Blood was found in carpet samples taken from the rear hatchback area and in samples from the dash area above the hatch release mechanism on the driver's side of the vehicle. Two human hairs consistent with those of victim Crystal Taylor were found in carpet samples from the hatch area carpet. Fibers matching the blanket, evidence number 013391-006, recovered from 17 Virginia Street were found in carpet samples from the hatch area. No identifiable prints were present on the leather handle found in the spare tire well. This item was wedged under the retaining bolt which had no prints. Carpet and seat cover samples have been retained for further examination. No other evidence was recovered from the vehicle. //Douglas Beschell |
