Subject: information?

Hello,

I happened to come across your site and was surprised to find that an acquaintance of mine was on it. I know this email is going to seem a little strange, but I thought I'd better contact you.

I've known Christian Chambers for about six months now. We've been spending some serious time together online since we met in chat on AOL - the masquerade ball. I used to go there a lot, just as a way of meeting people in a unique environment. Christian began hanging out there in September or so, and we took our chats private a week or 2 after he arrived.

Since then he and I have been spending time online together every Sunday night. We email each other during the week pretty often, but the only day when we can get away from our other commitments for real-time chat is that one time a week. We're pretty realistic about what we're doing with each other - we both know we're never going to meet in person or get married or anything. It's just about finding someone like-minded to indulge in a little harmless fun and fantasy.

Since we only have a few hours a week to enjoy each other's company, we're pretty committed about making and keeping our "dates." We usually exchange email during the week to set the time, and then we stick to it no matter what. Usually we don't start until midnight or 1 so there isn't much of a schedule conflict - it just means I have to take a nap earlier in the day. We take our time, usually spending maybe two or three hours online together (we invent fantasies and we like to describe them in detail), and we've never been interrupted.

Anyway, here's why I'm writing you. Our last online conversation was on February 1, or, technically, the early morning of February 2 - we started chatting around 2 a.m., and in the middle Christian up and abandoned me. He signed off completely without saying goodbye - we weren't anywhere near being done. I guess it was maybe 4. I haven't heard from him since, although I've sent him a ton of email. Also, I've gone back to a lot of chat rooms and I haven't seen his screen name anywhere.

I thought you might want to know this, I don't know if it will help. I can't imagine he would be involved in anything criminal, though - he's so sweet and careful, and he's a great writer.

I don't know what else you need to know. His screen name is Galahd6580.

Please let me know if this is useful or if there's anything I can do to help.

Sincerely,

Tania Hotchkiss
