Dale Taylor's missing amulet was found in the search of Christian Chamber's condo. Below, an artist's recreation of the amulet and the text of a descriptive card Dale received with the amulet provided by Mrs. Taylor.

Description of item:
18 kt. gold chain and pendant depicting an Egyptian khartoush with hieroglyphics on both faces, one face is an eye of Horus on the other face are hieroglyphics spelling the name Dale. The pendant is an elongated oval measuring approximately 1 1/2 inches in length. Mrs. Taylor states that this is an item Dale Taylor was known to have with him at all times, particularly when skating as a good luck talisman.

Text received with amulet:
According to Egyptian mythology, the best known of all "protective" amulets is the wedjat eye, or eye of Horus, the falcon headed son of Osiris. Egyptian kings associated themselves with Horus. The eye of Horus was used in the mummification ceremony to prevent evil from entering the body and was thought to assist the mummy to rise in the after-life. Often depicted in sculpted relief on basalt or hard stone was the figure of falcon headed Horus standing on two crocodiles holding reptiles and animals, the emblems of the foes of light and of the powers of evil. These were used as talismans for protection from the attacks of hostile beings, both visible and invisible. It's power was believed to be invincible making it's owner master of all the powers of heaven, earth and the underworld.
