Subject Christian R. Chambers wanted under Fugitive Alert Bulletin #W-14632 Yoknapatawpha County Sheriff’s Department, Mississippi Criminal Warrant No. 98-10956Y, was taken into custody and mirandized at 0500 hours. Mr. Chambers was taken into custody without incident subsequent to voluntarily notifying the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department of his whereabouts.

Details:

Myself and Deputy Lasser received dispatch call at 0445 to proceed to 6367 Sonoma Mountain Road for apprehension of suspect. We were met at the front entrance to the Sonoma Mountain Zen Center by one Terrance Kershaw, acquaintance of subject Christian Chambers who resides as a student at this location. We were led to a small reception room where Mr. Chambers was waiting. Mr. Chambers identified himself to this deputy and stated he was wanted in connection with a murder in Yoknapatawpha County, Mississippi. He was arrested without incident and mirandized at 0500 hours.

Inventory of Mr. Chambers possessions included passport, wallet containing $1,012 in cash, clothing and toiletries in backpack. No weapon was found. Subject was transported to the MADF (Main Adult Detention Facility) in Santa Rosa for processing.

Detective Terry Nelson of the Yoknapatawpha County was contacted by this Deputy at 0710. Extradition proceedings will be instituted this date.

Subject Christian Chambers transported to NCDF (North County Detention Facility) at the Sonoma County Airport at 1100 hours.
