Victims Purity Knight and Lee Perez were alerted by their neighbor that someone had been outside their windows. The neighbor, Johnny McPhail, then pursued the suspect thru the woods. The suspect was not caught, but was described by McPhail as small built, probably 5'8", with a light complexion. He was wearing dark clothing and appeared to be alone. An examination of the area turned up a 35mm camera, with film inside. Several shoe prints were also found, but none conclusively belonged to the suspect. Dispatch notified cars in the county to be on the lookout for the suspect.
