Letter to Sisters at Immaculata Girls Home
The following is the text of the letter that five year old Doris Hammack had in her possession when she was left at the Immaculata Girls Home in Detroit, Michigan on August 23, 1960 by an anonymous woman.

Dear Sisters,

Please look after Doris as she has no one else in the world. Her mother and father are both dead. She has no living relations. I have no way to take her in.

She is a good child and will surely give you no trouble. She were born in North Mississippi in 1955. She is 5 years old. That is all I know.

Bless you,

A Friend
