Caller, Madam Raylene, psychic from Randolph, MS called again and states that Anthony Phelps is the "P" mentioned in her last call. She affirms that there is a "magnolia" involved with this case and now claims that she meant Magnolia, MS, which is near Amite.
Call information referred to Detective Nelson, Sheriff's office.
Tuesday, 9/30/97, 10:04 a.m.
 
Mrs. R of Oxford called and said she just returned from her sister's home in Charleston. Says she saw the two escapees and the Symons woman in a brown car in Charleston on 9/29/97. Inquired about reward.
Call information referred to Detective Nelson, Sheriff's office.Follow-up Notation:Phelps' body was found prior to this sighting, there is no reason to believe a different man fitting Phelps' description has joined Pierce and Symons. APBs faxed to Charleston, Detective Nelson said he would make a note of the reported sighting, but both he and Charleston authorities tend to discount its validity.

Macy Lamar's aunt, Mrs. Golden called to report that Macy may try to contact an estranged aunt, Kathleen, in Boca Raton, FL, if she is on her own. Mrs. Golden says she has been unable to reach Sheriff Lamar directly to remind him of this.
Left a message for Sheriff Lamar, reported the relative's name and last known address to Detective Nelson. Follow-up Notation:Address is being checked with Boca Raton authorities.
Friday, 10/3/97 8:00 a.m.
 
Sheriff Lamar called regarding an on-line viewer tip to check the Magnolia Ridge Apt. grounds. Sheriff Lamar searched the grounds last night and saw no signs of recent excavation, but has requested a more thorough search.
Detective Nelson has assigned a team for a more in-depth occupancy screening and grounds search at Magnolia Ridge. Door to door canvassing was completed Monday, September 22, 1997.
Friday, 10/3/97, 2:10 p.m.
 
Madame Raylene called again. Says she concentrated on the fleeing couple and sees a harlequin mask. Says she smelled oranges at the time. Call took 35 minutes.
Call information referred to Detective Nelson's office as he was away at the time.
