- Caroline Blanchard received the following hang-up
call on Saturday, November 15, at approximately 11:25
a.m. Officials from the FBI and the Yoknapatawpha County
Sheriffs Department had been monitoring incoming calls,
with Blanchard's consent, and were thus able to record
the entire incident.

- Investigators confirmed that the call came from a pay
phone near Cybelle's Diner along Highway 43 near
Florence, Alabama. Local officials there have agreed to
cooperate in the investigation and are currently
inquiring with locals as to the identity of the caller.
