Dear Sir:
Regarding your inquiry about the Road House Bar in
Oxford, we are sorry to hear that a property we manage
might be engaged in unlawful activities, and I will do
my best to furnish you with the information requested.
Moore Atlantic manages the Road House property at 29311
Hurricane Creek Road, Oxford, on behalf of the
ChildFind Trust, an organization for families of
missing children. The property was donated to the trust
by Mr. Reed Chambeau in 1991 and we took over
management that same year at the request of the trust.
We take care of the rental agreements with Tad Beck,
who owns the Road House business, which has been there
since before we began managing the property. We collect
monthly rent of $1,400 and pass it on to the trust,
minus our $100 management fee.
As to how the funds are used, and how Mr. Chambeau came
to make his generous gift, I suggest you contact the
Trust directly. Our contact there is administrative
aide Marilee Kearns, at (601) 353-2111.
Aside from collecting the rent, which is usually sent
to us via the U.S. Mail, we have no direct dealings
with Mr. Beck and are not involved in the day to day
business there. Needless to say, we are completely
unaware of any unlawful activities that Mr. Beck may
have undertaken.
I hope this information is helpful to you. Please let
me know if we can supply further information.
Sincerely yours,
Rosemary Keller
General Manager, Moore Atlantic
