exemplars results in highest probability match of
handwriting comparison indicating that the signature on
Item# 009865-0001 is the true handwriting of the
decedent, Charles J. Lamar. It is this examiner's
determination that the signature on this note was written
by Charles J. Lamar and is a true exemplar.

- Fingerprint analysis of the original note, Item#
009865-0001 produces no prints.

- Analysis of paper of original note, Item# 009865-0001
shows that the note was typed on 20 lb. long grain, 25%
cotton content bond paper with a cockle wove finish,
bleached white, no watermark. Analysis of paper found in
desk, Item# 009865-0016 submitted in evidence is a 20 lb.
long grain, 35% cotton content bond paper with a laid
finish, bleached white and Strathmore watermark.
Comparison of the papers shows no match.

- Typeface identification indicates that the original
note, Item# 009865-0001 was produced on a Brother brand
electronic typewriter, model # SX4000 utilizing an
interchangeable disk wheel courier typeface, 10 point.

- Comparison with the interchangeable ball type courier
10 point typeface on the Royal typewriter submitted,
Item# 009865-0002, indicates that the original note was
not typed on this machine. Typeface analysis shows a
clear distinction between the courier typeface on the
model submitted in evidence and that in the typewritten
note, Item# 009865-0001. It is this examiner's opinion
that the note was not produced on the Royal typewriter
submitted, but was typed on a Brother electronic model #
SX4000. Further, the Brother model SX4000 print wheel is
clearly well used and dirty producing smudging. The print
wheel, if found, should be easily identifiable.
