Johnny McPhail: Hey there, Adele. Hope you're holdin' all my calls. Hollywood ain't called yet, have they? Ha ha. Listen, I just wanted to call and let you know everything here is goin' great. My part is so perfect, you're gonna... I just know... well, you're gonna be proud of me, let's just say that. The way Corwin has us playing this, I'm tellin' you, I'm getting good. I'm talking scary good. This is lettin' me be who I really am, who I'm supposed to be. I wish I could bring you up here and let you watch me in action, but it's crew only I'm afraid. Please don't worry about me though. I'll be in touch later. Love you, and tell Ruthie I love her too. Bye.

Johnny McPhail: Late happy Fourth of July, y'all. Sorry, I know Daddy said he'd be home by the holiday, but, well... there's reshoots. All kinds of reshoots and delays. I tell you, this makin' movies is a hard-nosed business. I know y'all gotta be upset but, really, don't worry. This is my business. They need me up here worse, I think. What's one Independence Day without me? Just pretend like I got run over or ran away. Heh-heh. It'll all be over soon. Happy--
