Death was caused by a single bullet entering at the base of the skull. After death, the victim was stabbed. Below is a map of entrance points for the 27 stab wounds and single bullet wound. The weapons used were a .22 caliber pistol and a sharp, pointed object with a maximum diameter of 1/4 inch. The close proximity of the stab wounds made an exact count of entrance sites impossible. There were no identifiable exit points.
